The latest Arsenal January transfer news with Viktor Gyokeres consistently linked with joining Mikel Arteta’s side

Viktor Gyokeres has made a timely remark regarding his potential transfer to Arsenal, reinforcing his position as a key target for Mikel Arteta’s team.
With the January transfer window now open, Gyokeres’ recent performances have highlighted why he should be a priority for Arteta if the manager is aiming to add a new striker this month.
In his most recent game, the Swedish striker scored a hat-trick—his 71st, 72nd, and 73rd goals in 78 appearances for his Portuguese team.
He found the back of the net in the 2nd, 14th, and 57th minutes. However, despite his contribution, Sporting Lisbon failed to secure a win, drawing 4-4 with Vitoria SC, which underscores the club’s ongoing difficulties.
Since their unbeaten streak ended in November, Sporting has struggled following the departure of manager Ruben Amorim to Manchester United, with their new coach already being dismissed.
Although Gyokeres has a €100m (£83m) release clause, reports indicate that a deal is in place which might allow him to leave for a lower amount next summer.
