Real Madrid’s thrilling 2-1 comeback win over Valencia was overshadowed by a controversial moment involving their key player, Vinicius Jr.

The Brazilian forward lost his composure and received a red card after hitting Valencia goalkeeper Dimitrievski in the face. This prompted a strong response from Vinicius Jr, who tried to confront the referee but was held back by his teammates.

Vinicius Jr’s behavior may lead to serious repercussions, with Article 104 of the RFEF Disciplinary Code specifying a suspension of 4 to 12 matches for such conduct. If he receives the maximum punishment, he could be sidelined for a significant portion of the season, affecting Real Madrid’s title pursuit.

Following the incident, Vinicius Jr issued an apology on social media, saying, “I’m sorry! Thanks to my teammates,” expressing regret for his actions and acknowledging the consequences for his team.

Despite the controversy, Vinicius Jr’s teammates came together to secure a crucial win, keeping their title hopes alive.
