BREAKING NEWS: Paul Pogba, the World Cup-winning midfielder, has sparked fresh speculation in the football world with hints of a potential return to Manchester United by January. The 31-year-old, who is currently serving a reduced 18-month doping suspension, has revealed that his return hinges on one unexpected condition: reclaiming his iconic jersey number.

Pogba, whose career at United began in 2016 with a then-record £89 million transfer, experienced both moments of brilliance and periods of inconsistency during his six-year tenure. Despite winning the League Cup and Europa League, he often faced criticism for not meeting expectations. Nevertheless, Pogba remains emotionally connected to the club, describing it as his true home and suggesting that a return could revitalize his career.

The midfielder’s suspension was recently shortened by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which determined that his ingestion of a prohibited substance was unintentional. As a result, Pogba will be eligible to resume training in January and return to competitive play in March 2025.

Pogba made his stance clear regarding the conditions for his comeback, emphasizing that returning to Old Trafford is not an issue as it has always felt like his club. However, he insists on assurances that the current holder of his iconic jersey number will relinquish it to pave the way for his return.
