Chelsea are reportedly unlikely to make another move for Victor Osimhen in the January transfer window, despite missing out on the prolific Nigerian striker earlier this year. The 25-year-old joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last summer after falling out with the Serie A club.

Since his move to Turkey, Osimhen has netted 12 goals in 15 appearances across all competitions, including two in a Europa League win over Tottenham Hotspur. However, according to *The Athletic*, Chelsea are not expected to revisit their interest in the Napoli forward in the New Year.

Chelsea previously made a late attempt in September to sign Osimhen on loan with an obligation to buy at the season’s end, but the deal did not materialize. While striker recruitment remains part of Chelsea’s long-term plans, they reportedly prefer to wait until next summer, with Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap among those being scouted.

Currently sitting second in the Premier League, Chelsea appear well-stocked in attack, boasting options like Jadon Sancho, Pedro Neto, Noni Madueke, João Félix, and Christopher Nkunku.

Meanwhile, players such as Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall could leave in January due to limited game time under manager Enzo Maresca. Chelsea were set to face Fulham at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day before ending their 2024 schedule with a match against Ipswich on December 30.
