Man City fans immediately turn on ONE player after stunning Everton equaliser

Manchester City fans quickly turned on one player after Everton’s dramatic equaliser during their Premier League match.
City, who entered the game following two consecutive league defeats, took the lead in their Boxing Day fixture when Bernardo Silva scored in the 14th minute.
Nine minutes before halftime, Everton equalised as Iliman Ndiaye struck with a spectacular goal.
However, fans on social media attributed the opportunity to Manuel Akanji’s failed clearance.
Akanji missed an interception on Abdoulaye Doucoure’s cross, allowing the ball to reach Ndiaye, who capitalised with a brilliant finish.
Criticism poured in online as supporters expressed their frustration over Akanji’s role in Everton’s goal.
One user on X wrote, “What are you doing Akanji?”
Another commented, “Akanji defending like Shkodran Mustafi.”
A third post said, “That was poor defending from Akanji, Man City need to tighten up at the back.”
A fourth remarked, “That was on Akanji more than Lewis but just great play from Everton tbh.”
A fifth criticized, “What was that from Akanji? Dominated the game and concede from first good chance for Everton!”
Manchester City will be looking to improve in the second half as they aim to secure their first league win since a 3-0 triumph over Nottingham Forest earlier this month.
