Manchester City
Rico Lewis: “Today has been tough, and I take responsibility for it.

Manchester City’s difficulties persisted with a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace, adding to their run of lackluster performances.
The match started in disarray as Palace took an early lead, with Daniel Munoz finding the net in the fourth minute. City’s defensive weaknesses were on display, and they were fortunate to avoid falling further behind due to a crucial intervention by Ruben Dias.
Erling Haaland equalized with a header, but Palace regained their advantage through Maxence Lacroix, who scored his first goal in English football.
Rico Lewis brought City level again but was later dismissed after receiving a contentious second yellow card, disrupting City’s momentum.
Although City dominated possession and displayed some attacking potential, their defensive vulnerabilities remain a significant concern.
Matheus Nunes, however, stood out with another exceptional performance. Nunes created four chances, completed three successful dribbles, and achieved an impressive 92% pass accuracy.
Defensively, he was equally effective, recovering the ball five times and contributing with vital clearances and tackles.
This season, Nunes has established himself as one of City’s standout players, competing with stars such as Haaland, Dias, and Kevin De Bruyne. Thriving in a new role, he has excelled both in and out of possession.
His consistent performances earned him the Player of the Month award for November, serving as a bright spot in an otherwise difficult season for City.
