Despite missing a penalty against Real Madrid in the Champions League, Mohamed Salah has been the driving force behind Liverpool’s attack this season, delivering stellar performances that have helped launch the Arne Slot era on a high note.

In just 12 Premier League matches, Salah has contributed to 16 goals, and in five Champions League appearances, he has been directly involved in five goals. However, as Salah enters the final year of his contract, Liverpool has yet to offer him a new deal, sparking uncertainty about his future at the club.

Salah has openly stated his desire to stay at Anfield but is waiting for the club to present an offer. Former Everton chief Keith Wyness revealed to *Football Insider* that the Egyptian star is seeking a three-year contract. Wyness suggested that Salah might be applying pressure on Liverpool’s owners to finalize negotiations, emphasizing that both parties likely want an agreement but are stuck on contract details.

With January approaching, Salah will soon be eligible to negotiate pre-contract agreements with other clubs, leaving Liverpool little time to secure his future. Losing Salah would be a significant blow to the club’s aspirations in the Premier League and Champions League, as finding a replacement of his caliber would be an immense challenge.

Fans have rallied behind Salah, urging the club’s owners to meet his demands and recognize his crucial role in the team’s success. His performances this season reaffirm his status as one of the world’s best players, and Liverpool cannot afford to let him leave.
