Following the match against Leganés, Ancelotti praised Valverde’s versatility, stating:
“Valverde is a fantastic full-back. He is the best in the world after Carvajal and Lucas Vázquez. He can play equally well in several positions, but the challenge is determining which position he excels in the most.”
Meanwhile, Spanish commentator Edu Aguirre shed light on Valverde’s outstanding performance in the Leganés game, noting his impressive physical output.
