With Flick’s approval… Bayern Munich offers Barcelona a fiery exchange deal that no one would expect

Bayern Munich has emerged as one of the clubs interested in signing Fermín López, whose future at Barcelona is now uncertain. After a strong season in which he finished second on the team’s scoring list, behind only Robert Lewandowski, López has seen his role diminish this season under new coach Hansi Flick. Despite Flick’s initial interest in keeping him, López’s position in the squad appears to be secondary, with him likely to feature only as a substitute or in tactical rotations.

The arrival of Dani Olmo at Barcelona, along with the return of Pedri González and the rise of Marc Casado, has further limited López’s opportunities in the starting lineup. Although he recently extended his contract until 2029, rumors of a potential departure persist, with top clubs such as Aston Villa, Manchester United, and now Bayern Munich showing interest.

Additionally, Manchester City manager Vincent Kompany is reportedly keen on bringing López to his squad and is exploring a potential swap deal with Bayern Munich that could involve Kingsley Coman. The French winger, who has struggled for regular minutes under Flick, could be offered to Barcelona as part of a deal for López. Coman’s role at Bayern has been reduced following the summer arrival of Michael Olise from Crystal Palace, and he could now be involved in this potential exchange.

Flick is reportedly open to the idea of swapping López for Coman, as he believes Bayern needs a new winger to strengthen their attack. If this deal goes ahead, both clubs could reach a mutually beneficial agreement in the upcoming winter transfer window.
