Erling Haaland has come under heavy criticism from Manchester City fans following their 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium. Despite being the Premier League’s current top scorer, Haaland’s performance was seen as a major disappointment in the heavy defeat, which marked City’s fifth consecutive loss.

Haaland had seven shots during the match but only hit the target with 33 percent of them, missing key opportunities. He also made just 26 attacking touches and struggled to get involved in the game, failing to convert two significant chances. His overall impact was minimal, as he also struggled in defensive duels, winning only 25 percent of his ground challenges and half of his aerial duels.

While Haaland has scored 12 goals this season, his form has dipped recently, with just two goals in his last seven Premier League matches. Fans expressed their frustration, with many accusing him of contributing to City’s poor result by failing to take his chances. Some even claimed that the striker lacked consistency, with certain supporters suggesting he might be “washed” based on his recent performances.
