Fans demand Ruben Amorim drops three Man Utd players after Ipswich draw as worrying claim made

Manchester United fans are calling on Ruben Amorim to drop three players after his side’s 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town.

Amorim’s first match in charge of United, following his appointment on November 11, started with a dream sequence as Marcus Rashford put the team ahead within 80 seconds, following a brilliant cross from Amad Diallo. However, Ipswich grew into the game, and Omari Hutchinson’s deflected long-range strike leveled the score before halftime.

Despite some positive moments, particularly from Amad, Ipswich came out stronger after the break, with goalkeeper Andre Onana making several important saves to keep United in the game. While Amorim will be encouraged by certain performances, such as Amad’s, he will also recognize there’s much work to be done in training to improve the team’s overall balance and performance.

Following the match, United fans are already voicing their opinions about certain players ahead of the next fixture against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday. Amorim made a few substitutions during the Ipswich match, notably taking off Jonny Evans in the second half and swapping Alejandro Garnacho with Mason Mount. Fans have since debated whether these players, along with one of Casemiro or Christian Eriksen in midfield, should be dropped for the upcoming match.

Some fans argued that Garnacho is more effective as an impact substitute rather than starting, pointing to his decision-making and lack of influence in the starting role. Others voiced concerns about Evans, feeling he doesn’t fit well in Amorim’s preferred 3-4-3 system, with some calling for Luke Shaw’s return to solidify the defense. Similarly, there were concerns about the midfield pairing of Eriksen and Casemiro, with fans skeptical that it would work in the new tactical setup.

Overall, while Amorim will have seen some positives, the match highlighted areas for improvement, and fans are already speculating about changes ahead of the next fixture. The coach will likely take this feedback into consideration as he continues to refine his squad and system.
