Arsenal told to ‘sell Gabriel Jesus in January’ as new stats emerge

Arsenal fans have taken to social media to urge the club to sell striker Gabriel Jesus after his performance in their 3-0 Premier League win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday (November 23).

The 27-year-old made only his second Premier League start of the season as Arsenal claimed a vital three points at the Emirates Stadium.

Gabriel Jesus has managed just one goal this season, which came in Arsenal’s 3-0 FA Cup victory over Preston North End earlier in the campaign. However, his display against Nottingham Forest did little to convince manager Mikel Arteta that he deserves a regular starting role. During the match, Jesus registered just one shot, was dispossessed twice, and completed no successful dribbles.

Arsenal took an early lead through Bukayo Saka, who scored in the 15th minute, with Thomas Partey adding a second shortly after the break. Substitute Ethan Nwaneri sealed the win with a third goal, ensuring Arsenal remained in contention with the league’s top three.

Arsenal fans are growing frustrated with Gabriel Jesus. It has become increasingly evident that the team lacks a more traditional number nine, especially as Arsenal has one of the lowest goal tallies among the top six clubs, second only to Manchester United.

Some fans have expressed their impatience on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), with calls for the club to sell the striker and seek an alternative solution upfront.
