Chelsea fans have taken to social media to urge the club to accept an offer for captain Reece James at the next opportunity after he picked up yet another injury.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of Leicester City’s Premier League clash against Chelsea on Saturday (November 23), Enzo Maresca confirmed that Reece James will not feature due to a recurring hamstring issue.

Maresca explained, “Unfortunately, Reece felt something small, and we don’t want to take a risk for this game.” This setback adds to James’ string of injury woes, having only recently returned from a similar issue that sidelined him for Chelsea’s first 11 matches this season.

James’ injury troubles are becoming an all-too-familiar story for Chelsea fans. The right-back missed a significant portion of last season, including 29 matches, after undergoing surgery. His persistent hamstring issues raise concerns about his long-term availability, frustrating supporters eager to see him back in full fitness.

Fortunately for Chelsea, Malo Gusto has stepped in as a reliable deputy, providing consistent performances in James’ absence. While Gusto’s contributions help mitigate the impact of James’ absence, the continued fitness struggles of the club captain remain a significant challenge for the team.
