Haaland in Barca? The verdict falls

Published

on

Reports this morning suggest that Erling Haaland could soon extend his stay at Manchester City. The reigning Premier League champions have reportedly offered the Norwegian striker an eye-watering salary package of up to €115 million over several years, excluding bonuses. This lucrative offer, coupled with the recent contract extension of Pep Guardiola—a crucial figure for Haaland—suggests that the deal is likely to be finalized.

In addition, it seems that Haaland is not one of the priorities of FC Barcelona

Meanwhile, the possibility of Haaland joining Barcelona appears increasingly unlikely. According to *El Chiringuito*, the Catalan club does not view the Leeds-born forward as a priority. Instead, Barcelona is focusing on extending Robert Lewandowski’s contract and targeting a winger in the transfer market. This aligns with recent comments from Deco in *Mundo Deportivo*, where the sporting director expressed full confidence in Lewandowski and stated that the club is not actively seeking a new striker.

Despite this, Barcelona president Joan Laporta reportedly has a long-term plan to pursue Haaland in 2026. Whether circumstances change before then remains to be seen.
