Manchester United are reportedly exploring a potential swap deal involving Joshua Zirkzee after his disappointing start at Old Trafford. Signed from Bologna for £34 million on a five-year contract, Zirkzee was brought in to support Rasmus Højlund in attack. He made an immediate impact with a late winner on his debut against Fulham but has since failed to score in his next 15 appearances, prompting speculation about his future.
With new manager Ruben Amorim offering a possible fresh start, reports suggest United may still consider using Zirkzee as part of a deal to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. According to *Il Mattino*, via *Get Football News Italy*, Zirkzee has been proposed in a swap deal for the Nigerian forward.
Osimhen’s time at Napoli has been tumultuous, as he was stripped of his No. 9 shirt and loaned to Galatasaray, where he has excelled with eight goals in nine games. His loan agreement reportedly includes a clause allowing a January exit if a top club makes an offer.
The swap could work in favor of both clubs, with United aiming to strengthen their attack and Napoli acquiring a young forward in Zirkzee.
