Some fans speculated that Garnacho’s lack of celebration was due to his recent benching or criticism from fans. Garnacho’s reaction may also have stemmed from a recent exchange with a fan before United’s Europa League win over PAOK. When a supporter advised him to “pass better, score a goal, and work on [his] first touch,” Garnacho retorted, “Why are you not playing?”

Following this victory, new United manager Ruben Amorim will officially take charge on November 11, inheriting a team positioned 13th in the Premier League standings.
