DEVASTATING NEWS: Heartbreaking News Has Been Announced For Diogo Jota This Morning.

Liverpool has started the season impressively, but injuries—particularly Diogo Jota’s—could soon take a toll on their momentum.

Ahead of Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League match against Aston Villa, manager Arne Slot provided an update on Jota’s recovery. Slot stated, “We expect him back after the international break… The first weeks after the international break we expect him back.” He added, “In Holland, there’s a bit more privacy on these matters, so I’m not entirely sure how it is here, but he should return a week or two after the break.”

Slot’s comments might worry fans, as Jota’s injury record includes a few extended recovery periods. His current rib injury, sustained in a collision with Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo, was initially projected to sideline him for four to six weeks. With Jota already having missed five games, a return post-international break means he could miss up to eight games, which fits the estimated recovery timeline.

Jota’s finishing skills, especially his ability to create and seize scoring chances, were on full display in his last outing against Crystal Palace. Known for cutting inside from the left and posing a goal threat, his absence leaves a gap in Liverpool’s attack. Fans are hopeful he’ll return soon to help keep Liverpool’s strong start on track.
