Neymar breaks the silence after his new wound!
Last night, Neymar again left the field on injury in his second game of the season with Al-Hilal. At 32 years old, the Brazilian is at risk of’entering into the circle of « » crystal players like Abu Diaby or Yoann Gourcuff, known for their careers marked by recurring injuries.
Since his arrival in Europe, Neymar has suffered 37 injuries, according to Transfermarkt. His situation changed little following his transfer to Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023. After being sidelined for more than a year due to a serious knee injury, he made his comeback on October 21 in an Asian Champions League match against Al-Ain.
Although he came close to scoring, Neymar wasn’t registered for the Saudi Pro League. Last night, he played his second match against Esteghlal in the Asian Champions League (3-0 win), but had to leave the field in the 87th minute, appearing in pain and visibly frustrated by a new injury.

After the match, coach Jorge Jesus provided some clarification: “He’s returning from a complicated injury and plays in a position that makes him vulnerable to tackles. I believe this time it’s a muscle injury, not related to the knee. He’ll likely be out for at least two weeks.” He added, “I didn’t register him in the league because I anticipated this could happen again. This is not an ordinary injury.”
