Karim Benzema spits the truth at Carlo Ancelotti : « Players n’ont pas…

A few months after his departure from Real Madrid, Karim Benzema made a big exit to evoke the current difficulties of the’ team of Carlo Ancelotti. S’il did not chew his words on Kylian Mbappe, the 36-year-old’ilene striker reassures the end of the season.
Karim Benzema is once again unfiltered in his views, openly critiquing issues at Real Madrid since his departure. In a recent interview with Edu Aguirre on *El Chiringuito TV*, the former Madrid star spoke about the controversies surrounding Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe, addressing the team’s struggles this season under Carlo Ancelotti.
The relentless truths of Benzema
Benzema was particularly vocal about the Ballon d’Or 2024 situation, describing it as a “masquerade” for overlooking Vinicius, whom he considers the best player globally. He also commented on Mbappe’s role at Real Madrid, arguing that the French captain has not fully adapted to playing centrally as a “true number 9.” According to Benzema, Mbappe’s tendency to favor the left side, much like he did with PSG and the French national team, has impacted his fit within Madrid’s setup.
Benzema expressed his continued faith in Real Madrid’s resilience, saying, “I always believe in Real Madrid. They always come back, especially when the world doubts them.” However, he emphasized the need for players to perform in their natural positions and for the team to function cohesively. “Real Madrid has the best players in the world, but the team has to play for each other,” he noted, pointing out that chaotic responses to setbacks, like conceding a goal, should be avoided.
They always come back
Benzema’s remarks come at a time when Carlo Ancelotti faces mounting criticism over his tactical choices, with some players—such as Jude Bellingham—seemingly impacted by the team’s current lineup. Bellingham, who excelled in a more central role last season, has reportedly been limited since Mbappe’s arrival and status as an untouchable figure in the squad.
As Real Madrid heads into the second half of the season, the pressure is on Ancelotti to make adjustments that will optimize the team’s strengths. With Benzema’s pointed comments circulating, many fans are left wondering: Will Real Madrid be able to rally and end the season on a high note, or is a shift in tactics inevitable?
What are your thoughts on Benzema’s statements? Can Real Madrid recover to finish the season as strongly as last year?
