It’s well-known that many top players in football dream of joining elite clubs like FC Barcelona and other major European teams. This particular appeal still plays a crucial role in attracting high-level players to Barcelona, despite the club’s ongoing financial challenges.

Big names such as Robert Lewandowski, Ilkay Gundogan, Joao Cancelo, and others have been drawn to Barcelona because of the club’s historic stature and reputation. Additionally, it appears that this appeal extends to younger talent coming up in the game.

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, the 22-year-old Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent, Mamuka Jugeli, recently hinted at a possible future move to either FC Barcelona or Real Madrid. He remarked, “When Kvara is ready to play for Real Madrid or FC Barcelona, it will be evaluated in the future.”

This isn’t surprising, given that many players aspire to represent either of the El Clasico giants based on their own preferences.

However, it’s noteworthy that Serie A’s Napoli will soon face Real Madrid in Group C of the UEFA Champions League this season.

Real Madrid previously showed interest, but a move didn’t happen at that time. Yet, with the agent’s awareness and the fact that Kvaratskhelia’s father is an avid FC Barcelona fan, a move to the Catalan club remains a realistic option for the Georgian winger.

For now, Kvaratskhelia and his team see Naples as the best place for him, given Napoli’s strength and potential, with his agent stating:

“When you have teammates like Osimhen, Di Lorenzo, or Zielinski, it shows the team’s strength, and that’s why we’re not thinking of leaving Napoli.”

However, there has been no progress on a contract renewal with Napoli, and the agent addressed this:

“There are no renewal talks; we’re happy with the contract we have. The goal is to defend the Scudetto and go far in the Champions League. Kvara loves the city and his teammates; I’m not concerned with what the media reports.”

The UEFA Champions League remains a key focus for top European clubs, and both Napoli and FC Barcelona are aiming for strong performances in the tournament given the talent within their squads.
