Mikel Arteta declined to comment when questioned about whether Arsenal were denied a winning goal against Liverpool. He still pointed out that the race for the Premier league title is still on track.

The Premier League contenders had to settle for a point after a 2-2 draw at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal led twice, with goals from Bukayo Saka and Mikel Merino, but Liverpool equalized each time through Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah.

In stoppage time, Gabriel Jesus scored for Arsenal, but referee Anthony Taylor disallowed the goal due to a foul by Kai Havertz. When asked about the decision in his post-match press conference, Arteta remained reserved, stating, “I prefer not to comment.”

When pressed on whether he would seek an explanation for the call, Arteta responded, “I’m sure I will have the clarity or a letter. I don’t know.”

Reflecting on Arsenal’s performance, Arteta said, “I’m very proud of the team, especially considering the challenges we’re currently facing. In the first half, we were dominant and efficient, and the score should probably have been higher.”
