Lamine Yamal was allegedly subjected to racist abuse last night after scoring against Real Madrid.

Another instance of racism has emerged in La Liga. During the match at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Lamine Yamal was reportedly targeted with racist remarks following his goal, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo and Sport. Insults such as “pu*** of ne**” and “go to the fire to sell scarves” were allegedly directed at the young Masia talent. Footage shared on social media captures these offensive comments. The Competition Committee and the Anti-Violence Commission will need to review this footage to impose appropriate penalties. Racism has no place in football or society. Real Madrid, which had previously supported Vinicius when he faced similar abuse, must also take action to identify those responsible for these intolerable insults. It’s disheartening.

In a currently circulating video, a “supporter” of Real Madrid can be seen insulting Lamine Yamal, Alejandro Balde, and Raphinha. It’s evident that the Spanish international hears the taunts, responding with a smile and nod to the fans. Later, Yamal responded on the field in the best way possible. The match between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona escalated last night, marred by racist incidents.
