Bayern Munich has received unexpected news ahead of their Champions League match against Barcelona next Wednesday.

Coach Vincent Kompany will be without two crucial players for the game, one of whom is facing a long recovery due to an injury sustained in the match against Stuttgart on Saturday. German midfielder Alexander Pavlovic had to leave that game in the eighth minute after suffering a broken collarbone, as stated by the club.

As reported by Bild, Pavlovic will require immediate surgery and is anticipated to be out for up to three months.

The much-anticipated matchup will occur at the Olympic Montjuïc Stadium, where Barcelona will host Bayern Munich. Adding to Bayern’s difficulties, Jamal Musiala has also been ruled out due to a thigh injury he picked up against Eintracht Frankfurt. Coach Kompany confirmed that Musiala will miss the Barcelona match.

The loss of both Musiala and Pavlovic is a significant blow for Bayern, giving Barcelona a notable advantage.
