“I apologize to Arsenal fans if they think I’ve not been playing at my best. I was poor against Bournemouth because I don’t enjoy playing with him in anyway”- Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey reveals dissatisfaction in playing alongside his £37M ‘horrible’ teammate as he tells Arteta to give him ‘ONE LAST CHANCE’ in the UCL on Tuesday

Arsenal once again struggled to maintain a full squad on the pitch and were punished with two second-half goals, resulting in an unexpected Premier League loss to Bournemouth.
After witnessing the end of Arsenal’s unbeaten streak, Partey emphasized the need to “learn from our mistakes.” Despite suffering their third red card in just six league matches, the team seems unaware of the gravity of the situation.
Winning the title is impossible with only ten players, and if Arsenal ignores Arteta’s message to eliminate red cards, their long wait for a championship will continue.
The Gunners were ahead when Declan Rice was sent off against Brighton in August, leading to a 1-1 draw. They also had the lead against Manchester City last month before Leandro Trossard received a red card, resulting in a 2-2 finish.
In a lackluster performance at the Vitality Stadium, the game remained scoreless until William Saliba was sent off for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
This marks at least five points lost due to disciplinary issues, and Arteta warned, “We need to play with 11 against 11 to achieve our goals.”
It’s clear: Arsenal has a discipline problem that must be addressed to avoid further setbacks. Partey acknowledged that this pattern cannot continue.
“We must learn from our mistakes and prevent them from recurring. We are putting in the effort and trying to win our duels, but we need to stick together, as red cards can occur in any match,” he stated. “When we have 11 players on the pitch, we typically control the game.”
With their captain Martin Ødegaard and key player Bukayo Saka injured, Arsenal looked ineffective until Saliba was caught off guard by Trossard’s misplayed pass.
Even with ten men, they held on until Ryan Christie scored from a short corner, followed by Justin Kluivert’s penalty after a poor backpass from Jakub Kiwior.
“It’s crucial to have a full squad for confidence, but we must concentrate on the game rather than our missing players,” Partey remarked. “William is a key player, but we have capable defenders who need to step up, and the coach will make the necessary adjustments.”
Arteta’s impressive 16-match unbeaten run in all competitions and Arsenal’s record away from home this year ended with this defeat. He now faces the challenge of revitalizing the team for an important week ahead, starting with a Champions League match against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday and a key clash with Liverpool on Sunday.
Partey concluded, “We aim to win every match, but sometimes uncontrollable events occur, and we must find a way to prevail. We couldn’t do that here, but we can’t keep playing with ten men. It’s up to us to respond positively—we’re professionals and hold each other accountable, so our next step is to bounce back.”
