Arsenal fans are all making the same point just minutes into Liverpool vs Chelsea after controversial referee decision

Former Fulham player Tosin was unprepared, leading to a collision with Jota that resulted in him being taken down just inside his own half.

Liverpool appealed for a red card just five minutes into the match, but Tosin was shown only a yellow.

Reds fans were unhappy with the decision, but Arsenal supporters watching from home were even more frustrated. This was especially infuriating given that William Saliba received a red card for a similar incident during Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday after a VAR review.

Someone else remarked: “It’s concerning how similar Tosin’s yellow was to Saliba’s red just a day apart… PGMOL is really inconsistent.”

A fifth fan pointed out: “Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo got a yellow for a challenge almost identical to the one that led to Saliba’s red yesterday.”

The primary difference in the decisions seemed to be that Levi Colwill was thought to be providing cover.

Ultimately, Jota had to leave the field due to an injury he appeared to sustain during the clash with Tosin. Meanwhile, Liverpool took a 1-0 lead after Mo Salah scored a well-taken penalty following Colwill’s foul on Curtis Jones.

Saliba, for his part, will be absent for the upcoming match against Liverpool at Anfield due to his red card.
