Reports indicate that FC Barcelona is prioritizing a deal for Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, who has been linked with a potential exit from the club recently. Partey’s contract is set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 season, which would allow him to negotiate a free transfer with Barcelona as early as January, although the transfer would officially take place next summer.

Partey made the switch to Arsenal in 2020 after the club activated a £45 million release clause in his contract with Atletico Madrid, making him the most expensive signing during Mikel Arteta’s tenure at the club.
