Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma is seen as an ideal candidate for Manchester United by former player Garth Crooks.
The Japanese player has displayed exceptional form since last season, which highlights a contrast with Manchester United’s current wide players. Several leading clubs are reportedly keen on acquiring Mitoma soon.
As per *BBC Sport*, Crooks, who had a loan spell at United during his career, thinks Mitoma would seamlessly integrate into the team.
He remarked, “Manchester United has Jadon Sancho and Antony, but I haven’t witnessed anything from them that matches the quality and skill I see in this player. Old Trafford is a daunting venue with higher stakes, but Mitoma embodies the spirit of a United player.”
Brighton, recognized for its strong scouting network, acquired Mitoma from Kawasaki Frontale in 2021. After a loan season in Belgium, the 26-year-old emerged as one of the standout players in the Premier League during the 2022/23 season, scoring 10 goals and assisting eight times in 41 matches across all competitions for Brighton.
He has continued this momentum into the new season, scoring an impressive solo goal in Brighton’s 4-1 win over Wolves last weekend.
