Paul Pogba, the former Manchester United midfielder, recently discussed the possibility of moving to Chelsea once his contract with Juventus ends, but he specified a particular condition. Amid increasing speculation about a Premier League return, Pogba clarified what would be necessary for his comeback to English football.

As he recovers from a difficult period in his career, reports indicate that Pogba has declined an offer from a Russian club while gearing up for his expected return to professional play. His career faced a serious setback when he received a four-year suspension due to a doping violation. However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) significantly shortened his ban to 18 months, allowing him to potentially return to the field by March.

Initially, Pogba faced the grim prospect of retirement if the original ban had remained in place. Now, with CAS’s ruling, he can start training again in January and aims to make his comeback in 2024. Nonetheless, it seems likely that his future lies outside Juventus, with various clubs interested in signing him. Among the unexpected suitors was Russia’s Broke Boys FC, a club in the Media Football League, which comprises celebrities and influencers. Founded by well-known social media figures risenHAHA and Dmitriy Egorov, the club approached Pogba despite not being officially affiliated with FIFA. They gained notoriety by winning the league title in 2024, but Pogba reportedly turned down their offer.

During these developments, Pogba expressed relief after being exonerated from doping charges, with a €5,000 fine also rescinded, marking the end of a tumultuous chapter. The World Cup-winning midfielder shared a heartfelt statement celebrating the CAS decision and thanking his supporters throughout the ordeal.

“Finally, the nightmare is over,” Pogba stated. “With the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s decision, I can look ahead with hope and pursue my dreams again. I have always insisted that I did not knowingly breach the World Anti-Doping Agency’s regulations. The supplement I took was prescribed by a doctor and did not affect my performance.”

He underscored his commitment to integrity in sports, acknowledging the seriousness of the situation while expressing gratitude to the judges who reviewed his case. “This has been one of the most distressing times of my life, with everything I worked for put on hold. Now, I can look to the future. Thank you to everyone who supported me during this tough time.”

As speculation grows about his next steps, Pogba’s potential return to the Premier League has generated significant interest. His skills, honed during his time at Manchester United, could make a substantial impact on the football scene if he decides to return. However, he has made it clear that a move to Chelsea hinges on specific conditions, leaving fans curious about what lies ahead for the French star.
