Manchester United
Manchester United have officially terminated the contract of their star player this morning, a player who could have been instrumental in their quest to win the Europa League.

Ji-sung Park is frequently regarded as one of the most underappreciated players in Premier League history, yet his influence at Manchester United was well-recognized by those at Old Trafford. Joining the team in 2005, Park spent seven years as a dependable and adaptable midfielder, playing a key role in some of United’s most triumphant seasons. His relentless work ethic, tactical awareness, and ability to excel in important matches made him a favorite of Sir Alex Ferguson.
Throughout his tenure with Manchester United, Park accumulated an impressive collection of trophies, including four Premier League titles, three League Cups, the 2008 UEFA Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup. The only major domestic trophy that eluded him was the FA Cup. With over 200 appearances for the club, his consistency and value as a squad member are evident. He was particularly noted for his performances in high-stakes matches, especially in Europe, earning a reputation as a “big-game player.”
In a 2021 interview, Park discussed his decision to leave United in 2012. After being omitted from the squad for five consecutive matches despite being fit, he felt it indicated that his time at the club was nearing its end. Although Sir Alex Ferguson wished for him to remain, Park ultimately chose to move on, recognizing that at 31, it might be his last significant contract.
His departure was poignant, and he shared that Ferguson had written him a letter after he left, which he still holds dear. The letter, along with Ferguson’s grandson’s wish for him to stay, highlighted the strong connection Park had with the club.
Even after joining Queens Park Rangers, Park is fondly remembered by United fans, who value his substantial contributions during one of the club’s most successful eras. His dedication, humility, and tactical acumen have secured him a lasting legacy at Old Trafford.
