As Thomas Tuchel appears poised to become the next manager of the England national team, Zinedine Zidane has surfaced as a highly sought-after candidate among Manchester United supporters. A recent poll indicates that Zidane is just behind Tuchel in terms of popularity for the role with the Red Devils. The idea of Zidane leading at Old Trafford remains a topic of great interest, particularly as Manchester United struggles with a challenging start to the season under Erik ten Hag. With only two victories in seven Premier League matches and two draws in the Europa League, speculation regarding Ten Hag’s potential departure during the international break is growing. Last spring, prior to Ten Hag’s contract extension, United had already reached out to Tuchel, who was viewed as the top choice to revitalize the club. Now, with Tuchel engaged in advanced discussions with the English Football Association, British bookmakers have revised his odds of securing the England job from 2 to 1.38. Other possible candidates to take over from Ten Hag include Michael Carrick (4), Ruud van Nistelrooy (5), and Gareth Southgate (7).
