BREAKING NEWS: Live From Anfield, Arne Slot Has Announced Terrible News About Alisson’s Injury And Has Confirmed That Caoimhin Kelleher Doesn’t Want To Play For Liverpool Again As He Feels Disrespected.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has shared an update on the injury status of goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who may be out for several weeks due to a hamstring issue, and midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, who has also faced a setback. Alisson was instrumental in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, making vital saves, but he had to leave the match in the 79th minute due to a suspected hamstring problem. Viteslav Jaros took his place, as usual backup goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher was unavailable due to illness.
This marks the second injury for Alisson this season, having already missed two matches in September due to a thigh issue. The Brazilian, who has a history of injuries, is now facing another stint on the sidelines. Additionally, Liverpool suffered another blow during the game at Selhurst Park, as Mac Allister was substituted at halftime for Dominik Szoboszlai.
In his post-match press conference, Slot was asked about both players’ conditions. Regarding Alisson, he acknowledged that fans had valid concerns. “The latest update is that we don’t know the full extent of the injury yet,” Slot said. “But based on how he left the field, it’s likely he won’t be in the Brazil squad, and I don’t expect him to be available for our first game after the international break.”
Slot confirmed that the injury was likely to Alisson’s hamstring, and while a complete diagnosis is still pending, he suggested that it might take several weeks for the goalkeeper to recover. “We have to wait and see, but I assume it will be a few weeks before he’s back,” Slot added.
Regarding Mac Allister, Slot expressed uncertainty about the severity of the injury. Although the Argentine midfielder completed the first half, he chose to come off at halftime due to discomfort. “He went off because of an injury, but it’s hard for me to assess how bad it is at this moment,” Slot explained. “He could have continued playing, as it wasn’t an issue that occurred right before halftime, but he felt it wasn’t worth the risk of aggravating the injury.”
It appears Mac Allister’s injury is related to his groin, and Slot was unsure whether he would be able to join Argentina for their international matches. “What’s the exact situation? Can he go to Argentina? Can he play over there? That’s difficult for me to say right now,” Slot stated.
As Liverpool heads into the international break, they face injury concerns for two crucial players. Their next match will be a highly anticipated clash against Chelsea at Anfield, and the fitness of Alisson and Mac Allister will be closely monitored leading up to that game. Fans will be hoping that the break allows both players sufficient time to recover, but it remains uncertain when they will return to action.
