VERY SAD Bruno Fernandes news has been announced this evening as Manchester United Manager Erik Ten Hag has stripped him off the Captain Batch and the new Captain has been named

In the 3-3 draw between Manchester United and Porto on Thursday, Bruno Fernandes received a red card for the second consecutive match.
The situation worsened for Erik ten Hag’s side as they lost their captain with under 10 minutes remaining while attempting to equalize, having already conceded two goals. Fernandes has now been sent off twice in four days, though the red card he received against Tottenham was subsequently overturned.
He will be eligible to play for United when they face Aston Villa on Sunday. According to UEFA regulations, a player who receives a red card cannot participate in any further UEFA club matches. Consequently, the 30-year-old will miss the upcoming Europa League fixture against Fenerbahce later this month.
Fernandes was dismissed for two separate fouls against Porto that warranted bookings, both involving high boots. UEFA deemed his sending-off not to be a “major offense,” allowing him to play in matches against Aston Villa and Brentford before the encounter with José Mourinho’s Fenerbahce on October 24.
Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund initially put United ahead 2-0 at Estádio do Dragao, marking a strong start. However, they relinquished that lead as Porto scored two quick goals, one from Pepe and another from Samu Omorodion.
Fernandes’s red card in the 81st minute seemed to extinguish hopes of securing a draw, but Harry Maguire managed to net an equalizer in stoppage time. “We started well, scoring two good goals, but then lost our grip,” Ten Hag reflected after the match.
“The start was promising, the middle was lacking, but the finish was encouraging. It’s challenging to play there, so getting the equalizer after going down 3-2 is uplifting. You can see the team’s spirit, but we must improve in the crucial area of defense.”
