Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur has sparked worries about Erik ten Hag’s future. The Dutch coach is facing mounting criticism due to his team’s poor performance.

The embarrassing home loss has increased pressure on Ten Hag, as Manchester United struggled against Tottenham. The situation deteriorated further when Bruno Fernandes was shown a red card just before halftime.

United began the match sluggishly, conceding an early goal to Brennan Johnson, set up by Micky van de Ven’s impressive solo play and accurate cross. Matters worsened for Ten Hag’s team when Fernandes was sent off for a late challenge on James Maddison, leaving United down 1-0 at halftime.

After the interval, the challenge became even tougher for United as Dejan Kulusevski extended Tottenham’s lead with a smart finish from close range. Although United showed some signs of improvement, they were caught off guard in the 77th minute when Dominic Solanke secured the win with a well-placed shot past Andre Onana.

This defeat has heightened doubts about Ten Hag’s capability to lead Manchester United effectively.
