BREAKING: Tragic news has been announced about Eric Ten Hag this morning – Manchester United fans can’t bear it! It’s over! 😱 – Jamie Carragher announced

Paul Merson believes Erik ten Hag has just three games left to save his job at Manchester United. Reports suggest the Dutchman has lost the support of 50% of the dressing room. With United already losing 10 out of 21 matches this season, Sky Sports reported that players are unhappy with Ten Hag’s tactics, echoing earlier reports from TEAMtalk in November.
United’s poor performance, combined with dissatisfaction among players over training methods and the treatment of Jadon Sancho, has put Ten Hag in a precarious position. According to Sky Sports’ chief reporter Karveh Solhekol, “Some of the players are confused about what is happening and he [Ten Hag] has lost elements of the dressing room. About 50% of the dressing room.”
With the club experiencing their worst start to a season in 51 years, the pressure on Ten Hag is mounting. The Daily Mirror predicts he has three games to turn things around: upcoming matches against Chelsea, Bournemouth, and Bayern Munich. Failure to win these could lead to his dismissal, with Paul Merson suggesting that if United lose to Chelsea, Bournemouth, and Bayern, Ten Hag’s tenure will likely end before they face Liverpool on December 17.
Merson further criticized United’s recent performances, calling the loss to Newcastle one of the most one-sided matches he’s ever seen. Despite this, Ten Hag remains determined, stating, “We have to put this right… We can do that. Several weeks ago, we lost to [Manchester] City and then we had a good run [in the Premier League], so we have to get back to a good run.”
BBC pundit Alan Shearer also predicts Ten Hag could be sacked soon, especially once Sir Jim Ratcliffe completes his 25% purchase of the club. Shearer noted that new ownership often brings in a new manager and pointed out issues within the dressing room, visible in the players’ body language during matches.
Shearer also commented on United’s transfer strategy, criticizing the club for spending large sums on players like Antony and Jadon Sancho, who have struggled to make an impact. He suggested that these poor transfer decisions reflect the broader issues at Manchester United.
