Shock report claims Luis Diaz has ‘agreed’ to join one of Liverpool’s biggest Premier League rivals

Liverpool have had a notably quiet summer transfer window leading up to the 2024/25 season, standing out as the only Premier League club yet to make a signing. Adding to the frustration, contract renewals for key players like Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk have stalled, and the potential transfer of Martin Zubimendi has fallen through. These developments have left Liverpool fans feeling uneasy.
Now, a new report suggests that things could take a turn for the worse, as Luis Díaz may be on the brink of leaving the club. Journalist Marcos Benito has reported that the Colombian winger has reached an agreement with Manchester City to join them on a five-year deal. According to Benito, City are prepared to offer 70 million euros to secure the 27-year-old attacker, which could deal a significant blow to Liverpool’s plans for the upcoming season.
