Manchester City is Set to sign Bayern Munich young star as potential Kevin De Bruyne replacement if he leaves to Saudi Arabia this Summer
With Kevin De Bruyne’s contract with Manchester City expiring in the summer of 2025, there has been significant speculation about his potential move to the Saudi Pro League this summer. Although Manchester City is not keen on letting De Bruyne go, they are preparing for a future without the Belgian maestro.
Christian Falk reports that Manchester City has identified Jamal Musiala of Bayern Munich as a potential replacement for De Bruyne. Musiala, who made his debut for Bayern in 2020, has been outstanding, and Pep Guardiola’s team believes he could fill the void left by De Bruyne.
Contract negotiations between Musiala and Bayern Munich stalled over the summer, making a transfer to Manchester City a possibility. The Premier League champions have the financial capability to secure the German player’s services.
While Manchester City would prefer to retain De Bruyne, they are not inclined to offer him a long-term contract extension. If De Bruyne wishes to leave, the club would not obstruct his departure.
