Erik ten Hag, closely monitoring Euro 2024 developments, has shifted focus back to club football after England’s semi-final win over the Netherlands on Wednesday evening.

On Thursday, United confirmed Ruud van Nistelrooy’s appointment as Ten Hag’s new assistant, joined by Rene Hake. A wave of Dutch players are also on the verge of joining the club.

As early movers in the transfer market, United had Zirkzee undergo a medical on Friday, preparing for his transfer from Italian club Bologna.

Xavi Simons could also join United this summer, with the Premier League club showing strong interest in the talented forward, according to The Sun.
