Rumored to be a target for Real Madrid, Alexander-Arnold, 25, is facing questions about his long-term future at Liverpool for the first time in his career. According to the Independent, one factor that could influence a move to Real Madrid is Alexander-Arnold’s close friendship with Jude Bellingham. The two, part of Gareth Southgate’s squad for the Euros in Germany, have reportedly grown closer, leading some England players to believe Bellingham could sway Alexander-Arnold towards joining Real Madrid when his contract expires.

Liverpool’s major concern is Alexander-Arnold’s impending free agency. As one of the sport’s most talented players, losing him without a new contract would be a significant blow, both financially and to the fans who adore the homegrown talent.

Since joining Liverpool’s first team in 2016, Alexander-Arnold has scored 19 goals and provided 81 assists in 310 games across all competitions. The 25-year-old has also won seven major trophies, including the 2018-19 Champions League and the 2019-20 Premier League.
