Earlier this year, Barcelona’s management underwent significant changes when Joan Laporta and his board made a surprising and bold decision. The appointment of Hansi Flick as the new head coach marked a departure from the traditional “Barcelona way” and a move away from Xavi’s philosophy.

Flick recently conducted his first training session with Barcelona, providing him with a unique opportunity to familiarize himself with some of the lesser-known players and emerging talents, given the absence of several key players. This transition period is crucial for the club, especially as they aim to offload players this summer to balance their squad.

Barcelona Universal has identified five players who need to impress during this pre-season to secure their spots in the team. Among them is Ansu Fati, who faces a challenging road back to Barcelona’s first team following a disappointing loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion. Despite his hard work to regain fitness, Fati has yet to find his best form in the attacking third.

With Barcelona in search of a reliable left winger, Fati could potentially fill that role. However, it is up to him to demonstrate his capabilities and prove that he can still contribute significantly to the team. The upcoming two weeks will be critical for Fati as he strives to make his mark under Flick’s leadership.
