Manchester United have reportedly had a £52 million bid accepted by Lille for their 18-year-old defender, Leny Yoro. According to Mail Sport, Lille is keen to proceed with United’s bid as they aim to wrap up their transfer dealings swiftly. The Guardian reports that Manchester United is currently in negotiations with Yoro’s representatives to finalize the deal.

However, despite the accepted bid, United manager Erik ten Hag may still miss out on signing Yoro, as the player reportedly prefers a move to Real Madrid. Real Madrid, having just introduced their new marquee signing Kylian Mbappe, are not inclined to match United’s offer of £42 million plus £10 million in potential add-ons. They are more interested in waiting until next summer when Yoro could become a free agent. This situation is pushing Lille to finalize the deal with United sooner.
