JADON SANCHO: MANCHESTER UNITED FORWARD RETURNS TO FIRST-TEAM TRAINING AFTER HOLDING POSITIVE TALKS WITH ERIK TEN HAG

Jadon Sancho has now resumed training with the Manchester United squad but will not travel to Norway for the friendly against Rosenborg on Monday, as he resumed training a few days later than others.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag held a positive meeting with Jadon Sancho at Carrington this week, leading to the player’s return to first-team training. During their conversation, they reflected on past issues and agreed to move forward.

Sancho will be available for selection after the Rosenborg friendly, focusing on taking a full part in pre-season.

Juventus previously expressed interest in signing Sancho this summer, but they would need to sell players first to meet Manchester United’s £40m valuation. Borussia Dortmund, where Sancho had a successful loan spell, also wants to sign him, but there’s a substantial gap between what Manchester United wants and what Dortmund can afford. Sancho has entered the final two years of his contract.

This marks a significant turnaround as it was expected Sancho would be sold this transfer window. Reflecting on past issues, Sancho and Ten Hag agreed to draw a line under everything and move on. Sancho’s late arrival was due to his involvement in the Champions League final with Borussia Dortmund.

Despite a turbulent past nine months, including a public fallout and a successful loan spell at Dortmund, Sancho is now expected to be part of Manchester United’s plans moving forward.
