Real Madrid deals a historic sho.ck to Pep Guardiola and signs two resounding deals from Manchester City

Real Madrid and Manchester City are not only vying on the field but also fiercely competing off the field to sign the world’s top players. Jude Bellingham may not be the last defeat for Manchester City at the hands of Real Madrid, as Real Madrid is close to securing two players highly desired by Guardiola.

Pep Guardiola is aware of this but doesn’t always get the players he wants. Some have ended up at Santiago Bernabeu and have contributed to Manchester City’s Champions League eliminations in recent seasons. According to the Spanish network Defensa Central, Alphonso Davies and Florian Wirtz are two players that Pep Guardiola aims to sign, but Real Madrid poses a significant obstacle.

The network reported that Guardiola is astounded by Real Madrid’s off-field contractual strength, as the duo is close to joining Real Madrid—one this summer, referring to Alphonso Davies, and the other in the summer of 2025, referring to Florian Wirtz. “They take the best, and this cannot be; we have to be better at this kind of thing,” Guardiola told City management after losing the Bellingham deal last year.

The network concluded that despite Manchester City’s financial power, they cannot compete with the expertise of Florentino Perez, particularly in securing deals and contracts with the world’s top names.
