A giant exchange deal looms on the horizon between Liverpool and Real Madrid in the summer Mercato
Spanish media reports have revealed that Liverpool is pursuing a swap deal with Real Madrid to secure the services of Rodrygo Goes, one of the Spanish club’s key players.
According to the Spanish program El Chiringuito, Liverpool has identified Rodrygo as their top priority for bolstering the team in this summer’s transfer window. The Merseyside club previously made a £100 million offer to Real Madrid for Rodrygo, which was rejected.
Now, Liverpool is prepared to offer a swap deal involving Luis Diaz to entice Real Madrid to part ways with Rodrygo. The move aims to address Liverpool’s strategic needs while potentially providing Real Madrid with a valuable addition in Diaz.
El Chiringuito also highlighted that Rodrygo feels uncertain about his future at Real Madrid due to anticipated competition following the arrivals of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. Earlier statements from Rodrygo suggesting a possible departure were initially clarified as misunderstandings, according to the Spanish program.
The program further confirmed that several offers have been tabled for Rodrygo, with Real Madrid potentially commanding a fee exceeding £100 million for the Brazilian forward. While Manchester City has also shown interest, Rodrygo’s departure remains uncertain in the current summer transfer window.
