LIVERPOOLJurgen Klopp agrees to first major project since Liverpool exit as three-year deal signed

The German departed the Reds at the end of the season, after nine years at the Merseyside club.
While he is unlikely to return to coaching for the foreseeable future, Klopp’s management team, Project MJK, has already announced a partnership with global sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE.
They will act as SPORTFIVE’s commercial and marketing representative for the next three years, with Klopp’s global brand presence, especially in Asia and the US, set to be bolstered as part of the deal.
Klopp’s personal Instagram account, which only launched last month, is reportedly because of the deal, aiming to strengthen Klopp’s reach worldwide.
“We are very excited about this partnership,” said Mike Jaggle, the managing director of MJK. “The industry-leading experience and global infrastructure of SPORTFIVE will enable us to expand our footprint and to explore innovative opportunities outside of Germany.”
Philipp Hasenbein, chief operating officer at SPORTFIVE, added: “Jurgen Klopp is the embodiment of excellence, mentoring, emotional intelligence, leadership, and long-term vision.
“His values align seamlessly with ours, and we are excited to collaborate with Project MJK to enhance Jurgen’s global reach.”
Ron Wiegand, senior vice president of global athlete and team marketing at SPORTFIVE, said: “We are proud to have Project MJK and Jurgen Klopp on board with us.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to successfully develop Jurgen’s brand globally, including social media management, media collaborations, and new authentic commercial partnerships in the coming years.”
Klopp claimed one Premier League title, one Champions League crown, an FA Cup, two EFL Cups, the Community Shield, a UEFA Super Cup, and a FIFA Club World Cup during his time at Liverpool.
In the club’s title-winning season of 2019-20, his Liverpool side became the fastest team to reach 30 wins and were within one of breaking the 100-point mark.
