Barcelona
FIFA has released deeply disheartening news for the officials and referees involved in the Barcelona vs PSG match, as they’ve been dismissed from their positions following a straight red card given for a minor tackle.

After Ronald Araujo’s expulsion from Barcelona against PSG, fans believe they’ve deciphered the meaning behind his hand gesture.
Araujo received a straight red card from the referee for bringing down Bradley Barcola, as it was perceived to have denied a clear goal-scoring opportunity. Barcelona had previously won the first leg 3-2 at Parc des Princes and led 1-0 earlier in the evening. However, Ousmane Dembele equalized for the visitors 11 minutes after the red card.
Vitinha’s early second-half goal and Kylian Mbappe’s brace then turned the tide, giving PSG a 6-4 aggregate advantage.
Following Araujo’s red card, Fabrizio Romano posted three images of the defender’s gesture on Twitter without further explanation. Romano captioned the post, “Ronald Araujo, not thrilled with his red card,” leaving the significance of the gesture open to interpretation.
Some fans struggled to interpret the gesture, while others attempted to decipher its meaning in the comments section.
“Araujo knows we were robbed!” one fan exclaimed.
“It’s indicating ‘robbed’,” remarked another.
A third simply stated, “Robbery.”
Meanwhile, someone joked, “He’s pulling off some Merlin-style magic.”
“He was trying to turn back time,” suggested the fifth commenter.
The sixth commenter wondered, “Is this some sort of mystical gesture?”
For Xavi’s team, who had harbored hopes of securing their first Champions League victory since 2015 despite domestic struggles this season, the evening turned into a nightmare.
However, the Spanish giants may have to wait longer, as they are unlikely to have a manager for the next campaign following Xavi’s announcement of his departure.
Barcelona’s board is reportedly trying to convince the iconic former player to reconsider, with President Joan Laporta suggesting he may stay with the team.
However, with seven La Liga games left and an eight-point gap to Real Madrid, the quarterfinal exit might further convince Xavi that it’s time to move on.
