Liverpool
Liverpool reveals a team statistic unprecedented in the 131-year history of the club.

Jurgen Klopp, perhaps unintentionally, selected a lineup that has not been seen in the 131-year history of Liverpool FC. Virgil van Dijk showcased his greatness in a match that ended with three points, three injuries, and four goals for Liverpool.
The victory, coupled with Chelsea’s draw against Man City, means that Liverpool now have control of the title race. The team’s impressive second-half performance allowed them to ease into the rest of the weekend’s fixtures.
An advantage of a 12.30pm kick-off is that a victory provides a sense of comfort for the rest of the weekend. Despite objections to the early time slot, Liverpool has performed well in such matches throughout this season.
FotMob reports that Liverpool has secured victories in four out of five early kick-off matches and managed a draw at the Etihad Stadium this season. In contrast, last season, they failed to win any of the six early starts. In a notable occurrence, Klopp selected a team that, perhaps unintentionally, included players from 11 officially recognized countries, marking the first time in Liverpool’s history. The flags representing each of the countries are listed below.

It marked a significant day for the captain, Van Dijk, as he reached his 250th appearance for the club. With a winning rate exceeding 68 percent, he has secured more victories in his initial 250 games for Liverpool than any other player in the club’s history.
Following him are Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alisson, with the first non-Klopp era player on the list being Alan Kennedy, who won 11 fewer games than Van Dijk in his first 250 matches. Mo Salah, making his return to the team for the first time since New Year’s Day, demonstrated his readiness to have an impact on the remaining fixtures. Despite entering the game in the 44th minute, his performance statistics immediately stood out.
FotMob awarded Salah the highest rating of any player on the pitch (8.4) and noted that he had the joint-most touches in the opposition area of any Liverpool player, matching Luis Diaz with seven touches in Brentford’s area.
Highlighting Salah’s proficiency in producing crucial stats over the years, he contributed with one goal and one assist in this game, a commendable performance considering his return from a hamstring injury.
It’s worth noting that Salah wasn’t the only Liverpool forward who excelled; in fact, all five attackers for Liverpool managed to either score a goal or provide an assist against Brentford.
