According to a trustworthy source at The Athletic, Manchester United is planning to secure the signing of Ivan Toney. Numerous top teams are expressing interest in Ivan Toney, who has recently returned to the realm of football in the new year.

Despite serving an eight-month suspension, the English striker managed to score on the first day of his return to action. With the confirmation of his potential, several teams have recognized Toney as the striker they might be seeking. Notably, Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly actively pursuing Toney’s signature, marking a significant development. Concurrently, Manchester United is also in the mix and appears ready to explore the possibility of acquiring this striker.

To elaborate further, The Athletic suggests that Manchester United is closely monitoring Toney and could make a potential transfer move during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Currently valued at £100 million by Brentford, there is a possibility that the deal could be negotiated down to £70 or £80 million by the conclusion of the current season.
