Jadon Sancho has shared undisclosed details about his exit from Manchester United in a recent interview with Borussia Dortmund.

In a recent interview, Jadon Sancho discussed the details of his departure from Manchester United, providing insights into the circumstances that led to his loan return to Borussia Dortmund after a four-month suspension from first-team activities due to a conflict with United manager Erik ten Hag.
Sancho’s comeback to Signal Iduna Park in January marked a notable shift for the 23-year-old, who had originally departed Dortmund in 2021 for a substantial fee of £75 million. His time at Manchester United, encompassing 82 games, resulted in just 12 goals and eight assists, falling below the anticipated performance levels.
The English international disclosed that the notion of making a comeback to Dortmund was initially brought up by Marco Reus during a preseason friendly between Manchester United and Dortmund in July. Recounting the exchange, Sancho mentioned, “In that Vegas clip, he [Reus] was urging me to return to Dortmund. It’s insider information, and he said, ‘Whenever you’re ready, bro, I’m here.'”
Sancho conveyed his gratitude for the familiarity of Dortmund, expressing, “I’ve consistently considered that if things didn’t work out elsewhere, BVB is a place I’m familiar with, where everyone knows me thoroughly. It’s reassuring to know that both the club and the players support me.”
After rejoining Dortmund, Sancho has immediately left his mark by providing two assists in his initial two outings. Reflecting on his decision to come back, he conveyed his delight, stating, “Joy, pleasure, amusement, and vitality. Those are the sentiments, and from the time I left Dortmund, I consistently stayed connected with the players, consistently tuning in to the games.”
Sancho highlighted his enduring bond with Borussia Dortmund, expressing that the club will always hold a special place in his heart, regardless of his future endeavors. He specifically mentioned staying in touch with Marco Reus and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, with whom he shares a connection, being fellow Londoners.
As speculation surrounds Jadon Sancho’s future, there is an expectation of a permanent departure from Manchester United in the upcoming transfer window. Nevertheless, uncertainty lingers regarding whether Dortmund will indeed become his permanent destination.
While the player’s remarks indicate a strong emotional tie to the club, the intricacies of the transfer landscape will ultimately shape the next phase of Sancho’s career.
