“He hasn’t been delivering satisfactory performances, much like Jadon Sancho. I’ve provided him with ample opportunities, but he consistently disappoints the team. We require committed players at this club.” – Ten Hag excludes Man Utd striker from first-team training.

“He hasn’t been delivering satisfactory performances, much like Jadon Sancho. I’ve provided him with ample opportunities, but he consistently disappoints the team. We require committed players at this club.” – Ten Hag excludes Man Utd striker from first-team training.

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, has instructed Anthony Martial to undergo individual training and enhance his fitness before being eligible for team selection.

According to Mail Sport, Martial has been training separately from the rest of the squad since contracting a sickness bug last month, leading to his absence from United’s matches since the 3-0 loss to Bournemouth on December 9.

In the past few weeks, Ten Hag has remained tight-lipped when questioned about Martial. Prior to the 2-2 draw with Tottenham last weekend, Ten Hag stated that Martial was not fit. It is clarified that the 28-year-old is not presently dealing with an injury; rather, he has not fully recovered his fitness after falling ill last month.

Ten Hag’s directive for Martial to train independently is not a disciplinary action but rather a strategy aligned with his approach to individual training for players who need to regain match fitness.
