In the upcoming summer, the Saudi Pro League might make another attempt to secure the signing of Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. Additionally, Chelsea is considering bringing in Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal as backup for Robert Sanchez. In other news, there is a possibility that Borussia Dortmund or Tottenham may recall Sergio Reguilon from Manchester United, and Inter Miami remains interested in signing a player after his loan spell with Gremio concluded.

SPL intends to launch a new bid for Salah.

The Daily Mail suggests that the Saudi Pro League is set to make another effort to acquire Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. While they previously sought to secure his signing earlier in the year, Salah chose to stay at Anfield, despite speculation about his interest in the move.

According to the report, the Saudi Pro League is gearing up for renewed efforts to sign Mohamed Salah next summer, making the Liverpool forward their primary target in the upcoming expansion phase of the cash-rich competition. Last summer, Al Ittihad stirred controversy by presenting a staggering £250 million bid for Salah, a move that Liverpool successfully resisted. The SPL is now planning a more strategic approach to entice the Egyptian superstar in the coming months.

The 31-year-old is considered a more crucial transfer target for the SPL than Cristiano Ronaldo, who, after leaving Manchester United a year ago, brought instant credibility to Al Nassr. Salah, being at his peak and an iconic figure in the Arab world, is highly valued by the league. With 12 months left on his existing £350,000-per-week contract next summer, Liverpool faces a decisive choice between cashing in on Salah or offering him a lucrative deal to conclude his career at the club.

CHELSEA LOOK AT RAMSDALE MOVE

In the aftermath of a Robert Sanchez injury, The Sun reports Chelsea’s interest in securing the services of Aaron Ramsdale, the Arsenal goalkeeper currently out of favor. With David Raya assuming the role of first choice under Mikel Arteta, Ramsdale has been subject to transfer speculation.

“Chelsea is gearing up to intensify their pursuit of Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale following an injury to Robert Sanchez during the Blues’ 2-0 defeat against Everton,” outlines the paper. Sanchez, a 26-year-old Spaniard, has been the starting goalkeeper for Mauricio Pochettino’s team in all 16 Premier League games this season after the departures of Edouard Mendy to Al Ahli and Kepa Arrizabalaga’s loan to Real Madrid.

Arsenal’s Ramsdale, aged 25, has found himself on the bench since the early stages of the current campaign with the arrival of David Raya from Brentford. Mikel Arteta is reportedly hesitant to let him depart in the mid-season transfer window as it would leave him with 21-year-old Karl Hein as the backup goalkeeper.

REGUILON WANTED BY DORTMUND

Sergio Reguilon’s loan stint at Manchester United might conclude next month, as per The Mirror. Borussia Dortmund is reportedly showing interest in signing the Spanish left-back, who is currently on loan from Tottenham. A break clause in the agreement could facilitate his departure from Old Trafford if a deal is reached. Reguilon joined United on deadline day as an emergency signing after Luke Shaw faced a two-month injury layoff.

Now that Shaw has returned to action, and with Reguilon completing a full 90 minutes in the Premier League only once this season, United is interested in retaining the 27-year-old until the end of the campaign. Another left-back, Tyrell Malacia, is set to return to full fitness early in 2024. Reguilon has 18 months remaining on his current deal at Tottenham.

There is also a possibility that Tottenham may consider recalling Reguilon to North London, especially given their significant injury list. However, Destiny Udogie has claimed the first-choice left-back position and is available. United is covering Reguilon’s full salary during his loan from Tottenham.
